Two weeks of SPRING BREAK!

We survived Spring Break, it is a miracle! No actually, the kids were great! I was the one that couldn't behave!
The weather was lousy (COLD AND RAINY) and we didn't do much, thank goodness for play dates! YAY!
We did have a few adventures here and there but I was naughty and didn't have my camera handy, except when we went to the Zoo. Our zoo is a great zoo, small and quaint...can see it all in one hour OR LESS!! It is great!
One day we ventured out to go to a Science Museum but discovered they are not open on Mondays so we headed over to the zoo. Hannah and Kirk were NOT happy, they are STILL convinced that I TRICKED them into going to the zoo. Oh well!
Anyway, here are the highlights from our afternoon at the zoo!
You can tell who will and who WILL NOT let me take pictures of them, can't you? (check out Hannah and Kirk!! SO HAPPY TO BE THERE!!) ha ha

Springtime Fun

We have some friends invite us over for a fun filled afternoon...EASTER EGG HUNT, jump houses, BBQ and FUN!
John was obsessed with this thing, even though the battery was DEAD...hmmm, I think I know what he needs for his birthday! Kirk and his buddy Tyler were so sweet and PUSHED that thing all over for him...SPOILED KID!
John didn't want to go on an Easter egg hunt...he wanted to be on the "TWUCK!"
(John Deere Truck)
And then Daddy showed him how to put the YELLOW eggs in the YELLOW basket, and he was off!
TOO CUTE!
This is Ruby's pal, Reubie...isn't she a crack up? LOVE HER!
And here are John and sweet Hannah, checking out the loot!
THANKS KEN & BARBIE!! WE HAD A LOVELY TIME!!
XOXOXO

Oh what a sweet, big brother!

Friday evening I asked Kirk to run down the street and pick up Ruby from a friend's house...John wanted to go too. I was in the middle of something and really wanted Kirk to do it...knowing that John wanted to go and that Kirk probably would just want to hurry and run down there...I braced for ANOTHER tantrum...but that is not what happened. Nope! Kirk grabbed John's little jacket and his socks and shoes and off they were...hand in hand, to fetch our little Ruby Roo!
I just had to sneak a picture! Thanks Kirk, you are one AWESOME big brother!!

If this isn't adorable, I don't know what is!

Remember, or 'member,' as we say at my house, how I posted about Ruby and her ROCK BAND? And how she beamed all through dinner? Well it meant a lot to her, more than we realized. The other night after dinner she dressed up as "someone else" and delivered this to her band members...so sweet! The child melts me, she really does! I am finally realizing after being a Mom for 12 1/2 years that it truly is the little things in life that mean the most to our children! It reads: "To My Band From Ruby, your leter (leader) I love you. Thank you so much." I adjusted the light on the picture...and ruined it...there is a lovely, HAPPY reindeer looking fella on this side! ADORABLE!! Yeah, RUBY ROCKS, my friends!!

Okay maybe Rich isn't as great as I thought he was...

The other night I overheard Rich telling the kids to RUN if they see me coming with my camera...or else their photo will end up on my blog! THAT TRAITOR!! Can you believe the nerve? The kids thought it was so funny...little do they know I have ALL SORTS OF pictures I could post on this here blog...even pictures of you Mr. Fairbanks!!! Consider yourself warned!
